Join like-minded individuals that share your passion for Emergency Medicine.
Membership is open to individuals currently working in or interested in Emergency Medicine across Tanzania, Africa and the world.  Membership is achieved upon completion of a membership form and payment of the required annual membership fee.

Membership Categories

FULL MEMBER
Any person involved in education, research and / or patient care in the field of emergency medicine can become a full member of EMAT. Full members pay membership fees, have voting rights and can stand for office. Fee: TSZ 50,000.

AFFILIATE MEMBER
Any person with an interest in emergency medicine can become an affiliate member of EMAT. Affiliate members pay a reduced membership fee, have no voting rights, and cannot hold office. This type of membership is ideal for international members. 
​Fee: TSZ 30,000.

HONORARY LIFE MEMBER:
This membership may be awarded by the COUNCIL to a person who excelled in furthering the objectives of EMAT. Such a member pays no dues, has no voting rights and may not hold office.

Payment

Fees:
Membership fees are paid yearly in person (cash), via phone cash transfer (tigopesa/mpesa), or online.

How to pay:
1) In person at MNH--EMAT administration office.

2) Submit payment via one the following numbers:
                 0718399901-TIGO
                 0755249921-VODA
 The registered name for both numbers is EMERGENCY MEDICINE ASSOCIATION OF TANZANIA. After submitting your payment, email [email protected] to let us know you have sent it.

3) International members. We are currently in the process of looking for alternative ways to accept online membership fee payments. At this moment, please send a "donation" via this link by selecting the Donation Partner as Carolinas Global Health Initiative and Donation Type "Standard Donation".  Your donation of $15 (30,000 tsh) will grant you EMAT membership for that year.

Term of Membership:
Membership is valid for one year from the time registration payment is received. We recommend paying your membership fees from January to April each year. 

Active Member Status Policy:
Once you pay your membership fees you are considered an Active Member. You are required to wait for a period of 3 months before you are eligible to apply for sponsorship of any kind.
